Kelly Cooper, MS LMHCA

Hi Im Kelly Cooper.

I am passionate about helping others examine the obstacles that are holding them back from living their best life. My counseling style is hope-filled and client-centered. I believe you are the expert on you and it is my job to come along beside you to assist you on your journey.

I have experience working in group practice helping individuals and couples work through depression, anxiety, and past trauma issues. Before that I worked in an inpatient setting helping individuals and groups through crisis stabilization, as well as treating an array of issues including: depression, anxiety, emotional health, stress management, womens issues, life adjustments and transitions, and couples counseling.

I have advanced training from the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy, as well as training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Brainspotting, and Substance Used Disorders.

I hold a Master degree in Psychology, as well as a Bachelor with a major in Psychology and minor in Sociology, from Angelo State University. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, and a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee with many years in the field counseling and as a college instructor teaching psychology.

Im a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and child of God. I was born and raised in Texas. A few years ago my family transplanted to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I love to spend time with my family and anything that involves paint and crafting!  My Christian faith shapes my worldview, however I welcome diversity and views from various faith perspectives.
