Counseling Approach & Experience
I’m passionate about helping clients heal in ways that allow them to move forward and remove obstacles preventing them from reaching their goals and embracing their truths. As a big fan of inner-child work and healing from traumatic experiences, it has the power to change not only your own life but those in a relationship with you. My aim is to create a safe space and trusting relationship with you so we can do this work together. I’m here to help you do the hard stuff: set boundaries, listen to you and honor your needs, advocate for yourself, and ultimately foster self-growth and exploration. My clients are of all ages, including teenagers and young adults. My passion is helping clients working through any kind of identity related issues and transitions, anxiety, depression, traumatic life experiences, and major life transitions from going to college, moving to a new city, ending a major relationship, and other coming of age issues.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Resource Management from Rutgers University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University, the majority of my clinical training was spent working in an inpatient treatment center for substance use addictions in addition to working with college students in a university setting.
About Me
Born and raised in New Jersey, I have lived in the Northeast, South, and West. I’ve spent the last 5 years in Nashville and recently moved to Washington where my family has been for the last 15 years. I love to be outdoors and am a big fan of hiking, good coffee, and dogs. I also love to read, write, and I consider myself a life-long learner especially related to the areas of social justice, advocacy, inclusivity, and equity.
