Jamie Quinlan, MA LMHCA

Welcome, I desire to create a safe space where you can come as you are without feeling judged, explore your true self, and shine a light on areas where you feel burdened. As a mental health counselor and a follower of Christ, I am passionate about helping you gain freedom from lies and beliefs that weigh you down so that you can become the person you were created to be to live a full life.

Areas of Specialty:

  • Kids / Youth / Teens

  • Parents and Kids (Family)

  • Trauma / Abuse / Sexual Abuse

  • Divorce / Childhood Trauma / Alcoholism

  • Christian Perspective

  • Postpartum / Birth Trauma / Miscarriage / Motherhood Struggles

  • ADHD / Depression / Anxiety

I am practically minded and may utilize a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach. CBT aims to target negative thinking patterns affecting beliefs about who you are, as well as explore how these thoughts and beliefs affect your behaviors. Homework may be utilized to practice skills outside of counseling to target negative thoughts that affect the way you think about yourself and the world around you.

Additionally, our past and our stories, including our traumas, losses, abuse, and grief, are an integral part of who we are and form the way we see and experience the world. Thus, I use an effective body-based trauma-informed modality called Lifespan Integration Therapy (LI). Providing a space to share stories through Lifespan Integration Therapy lifts the burdens of past traumas that so often weigh us down. Sharing these burdens also provides a space to rewrite the often negative narrative we have lived with and gain a fresh perspective, bringing healing and redemption to our stories.

About me

My journey of healing from past trauma brought me to the counseling profession. I received more healing, redemption, and freedom than I thought possible, and I desire to share that healing with you. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Washington and a Master’s in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I am a homeschooling mom of six, three girls, and three boys. When I am not studying or educating children, I love to run, garden, cheer on our little softball and baseball players, and volunteer in our church community. As an active volunteer in our church community, I have gained over twenty years of youth ministry experience
