About me

Before entering the counseling field, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from The George Washington University and a PhD in Biomedical Science from Northwestern University. After a brief career in research, I spent nearly two decades focused on raising my two children — an experience that has profoundly shaped my perspective on growth, connection, and resilience. I’m currently completing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Palo Alto University and look forward to graduating in December 2026. For over 20 years, I’ve called the Pacific Northwest home, where I live with my husband, two teenage daughters, and our little dog, Miso. Our family loves traveling, boating, crabbing, hiking, and cooking together. In quieter moments, you can often find me reading, listening to podcasts, or taking long walks with a friend.

Building a genuine, trusting relationship is at the heart of my work. I want to understand your story — your experiences, your values, and what matters most to you. As a culturally affirming counselor, I deeply respect and honor the unique backgrounds and perspectives that shape who you are. Together, we’ll approach your challenges with compassion and curiosity, while recognizing your strengths and resilience.

I use an integrative counseling approach, drawing from a variety of therapeutic methods so that our work together can be tailored to your individual needs and goals. I believe that life holds both joy and pain — often at the same time — and that meaningful growth happens when we allow space for both. It’s a privilege to walk alongside you on your journey and to meet you exactly where you are. Together, we’ll work to uncover the insights, strengths, and tools that help you move toward healing and greater self-understanding.
