Hello, I’m Kristin Overman, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and fully certified Lifespan Integration practitioner. I specialize in working with adults and teens who are ready to heal deeply, grow courageously, and reconnect with themselves and the people they love most.
My clinical work focuses caring for those who are suffering from:
Anxiety
PTSD
Depression
Suicidal Ideation
Domestic Violence (physical, emotional, spiritual, sexual)
Trauma
Sexual Assault
Many of the individuals I support are carrying wounds from early childhood trauma and experience challenges with emotional regulation, self-compassion, and maintaining meaningful connection in their closest relationships.
At the core of my work is the belief that wholeness of mind and spirit is fully possible. A mental health diagnosis, in my view, is not a life sentence—it’s a signal that something painful or overwhelming has happened, often in isolation, and the mind and body are simply asking for care, connection, and repair.
You can expect a warm, loving, and grounded environment—one where we stay focused on what truly needs attention while honoring the pace you need for safe, lasting change.
I completed my Master of Science in Applied Psychology with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling at Eastern Washington University in 2012. Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of intensive treatment settings including partial hospitalization programs, outpatient and residential facilities, and support groups for domestic violence survivors. Each environment shaped my understanding of trauma and strengthened my commitment to providing care that is effective and compassionate.
My decision to pursue certification in Lifespan Integration came from a desire to offer more than symptom management. This rigorous two-year training process—filled with study, practice, and my own personal work—helped me understand how profoundly the nervous system holds our stories and how healing becomes possible when the root of pain is finally addressed within our body. I am not a traditional “talk therapist.” My goal is always to help remove the problem, not just cope with it.
Clients describe me as cheerful, optimistic, warm, calming, direct, and deeply compassionate. As a fellow human, I value you as a person and your potential apart from anything anyone has ever said or done to you. I believe you are valuable and precious apart from anything you have done or might do. As your therapist, I am passionate about unlocking the prison cell of pain you have been living in.
I became a therapist because of my own journey through a painful and domestically violent marriage more than two decades ago. My frustration and disgust with dysfunction and abuse lit a fire under me to return to school at age 34 and build a career dedicated to healing.
Today, life looks very different. I am happily married, and my husband and I love exploring the Pacific Northwest—clamming, fishing, and treasure hunting at estate and garage sales. I can honestly say I have as much joy now as I once had pain.
I am an out-of-network provider, meaning I don’t bill insurance directly. I do provide superbills (special receipts containing medical coding) for clients who wish to apply for partial reimbursement through their insurance. Coverage varies widely, so contacting your insurance provider for details is the best approach. Session fees are $175 for a 55 minute session.
I work with individuals of every background and belief system. For those specifically seeking a Christian counselor, please know this is a safe place to integrate your faith, discuss spiritual concerns, or request prayer if you desire.
If counseling hasn’t helped in the past—or if the weight of your history, anxiety, depression, or fear still feels heavy—I want you to know that healing is possible. The right treatment releasing the trauma stored in your body plan can help you finally move out of the places you feel stuck.
You don’t have to keep living in survival mode.
I would be honored to walk with you toward peace, connection, and wholeness.
