Counseling Approach
I utilize a trauma therapy called Lifespan Integration. This modality works with your body and brain to find the source of trauma so that you can process through the painful memories to remove the triggers and trauma completely.
I also use Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) to help couples and families learn to communicate from their deeper emotions, as well as hearing each other while empathizing and validating feelings. Cognitive Behavioral therapy is utilized to change well-engrained maladaptive beliefs and thoughts.
A Little Bit About Me
I have 30 years of experience counseling in corporate, church and clinical settings. I earned my Master's in Professional Counseling at Liberty University and my Bachelor's in Psychology/Sociology from Western Washington University. I am a Licensed Washington State Mental Health Counselor, Certified State Supervisor and Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina. As well as Certified Lifespan Integration therapist and Certified Reunification Therapist.
I am a strong, passionate, and grounded woman.. I am a mama to 3 beautiful daughters, and grateful to be married to my best friend and soulmate. I have suffered my share of trauma from childhood, experienced the loss of twin baby boys, and struggled through emotional abuse in a 24 year marriage to a covert narcissist. Yet through my personal journey in counseling, I found the core of who I am. I became strong, courageous, and emotionally solid which led to changing my life into a full and thriving existence. I would love to help you do the same for your life!
Client Testimony
"When I first met Teri I was in the worst part of long-term narcissistic abuse. I was worn down mentally, physically, and spiritually, but she listened, validated me and gave me hope. Teri helped me grow stronger and take a stand. She then patiently helped me to process the effects of the abuse and learn to live a healthy new life.
There have been many times of overwhelming doubt and discouragement. Teri learned who I am and consistently reminded me of that when I lost perspective. There was no judgement - just support. It has not been a pretty or easy process, but I am so grateful for the wholeness and peace I now have. Teri has been an invaluable part of that journey." - Anonymous
