Julie Radeff-Huang - Counseling Intern

Welcome, I am happy that you are here. Often, choosing to seek counseling is a daunting yet pivotal step in your healing journey and personal growth. My approach to counseling is to establish a safe and comfortable environment where you can explore your emotions in a way that you feel supported and held. It is my priority to establish trust with you and really get to know you, your life, and where you are coming from. I am a culturally affirming counselor, and I seek to learn and acknowledge any ethnic and cultural values as we explore your concerns together. As a collaborative team, we will work to identify both your strengths and areas you wish to improve. The approach I use is integrative counseling, which allows me to select techniques from a variety of theoretical orientations, tailored to your specific needs.

Life is filled with both joy and suffering, which we can even experience at the same time. I believe it is an honor and a privilege to accompany you on your personal journey and to meet you exactly where you are. My clinical interests include anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, women’s issues, LGBTQ+ identities, parenting concerns, grief and loss, and caregiving.

About me:

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the George Washington University and a PhD from Northwestern University in Biomedical Science. After a brief career as a research scientist, I spent nearly 20 years working at home, raising two children. I am currently in my second year of a Master’s program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Palo Alto University, set to graduate in December of 2026.

I have lived in the PNW for over 20 years, with my husband, two teenage daughters, and my little dog Miso. Our family enjoys traveling, boating, crabbing, hiking, and cooking. I also enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, and taking long walks with a friend.
